There are two separate Surgery Wards in AWMCH for male and female patients. The Male Surgery ward is located on the 6th floor of the Ashraf Ali Building, equipped with 19 beds and 22 nurses. The service provided by this ward is on par with executive level with curtained beds, central air conditioning and attached bathrooms. The female surgery ward is located on the ground floor of Momin building which houses 20 beds. The care of the patients is overseen by a team of surgeons, referral OPD doctors and nurses.
