There are two Post Operative Wards in AWMCH. POW 1 is located at the 3rd floor of the Ashraf Ali Bhaban and women are brought here after C section or other gynecology related surgeries. There are 14 beds in this ward, which are free of charge and are only used to keep the patients under observation. Depending on the patients’ demand or budget, they are transferred to other wards or cabins from here after 6-7 hours. The experienced and dedicated nursing staff looks after the patient till they are shifted to their respective wards.
The 2nd Post Operative ward is located on the 2nd floor of Afil Building, with 51 beds in total. Some of these beds are free for the patients and those are assigned on the basis of availability. There is also the Maliha Post Operative Ward where patients can have more privacy with curtained beds, and avail better services for a reasonable price.
